What we do
A complete suite of fire safety services under one roof, for businesses, landlords and property managers across Southport and Merseyside.
Our core service. A comprehensive fire risk assessment tailored to your premises type and sector. Commercial assessments are conducted in accordance with PAS 79-1:2020, residential assessments follow BS 9792:2025. Our qualified assessors conduct a thorough physical inspection, examining all fire hazards, means of escape, detection and alarm systems, fire-fighting equipment, emergency lighting, signage, compartmentation and fire safety management arrangements.
Explore Fire Risk AssessmentFire doors are a critical element of passive fire protection. They contain fire and smoke, protecting escape routes and giving occupants time to evacuate. Our specialist fire door inspectors carry out detailed surveys of every fire door in a building, assessing each component against current standards including BS 8214:2026 and the Government's Fire Door Safety guidance. The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 introduced mandatory quarterly and annual fire door checks for multi-occupied residential buildings over 11 metres.
Explore Fire Door SurveysThe best fire safety measures are only as effective as the people who operate them. Our fire safety training programmes are practical, engaging and tailored to the specific needs of your staff, premises and sector. From basic awareness sessions to fully certified fire warden training, we cover all bases.
Explore Fire Safety TrainingA fire strategy document sets out the overall approach to fire safety in a building: how it will be designed, managed and maintained to protect life and property. We develop fire strategy documents for new builds, change-of-use projects and buildings where alterations affect the existing fire safety approach.
Explore Fire Strategy DevelopmentOur property inspection service provides a comprehensive review of fire safety compliance across the whole building. Designed for landlords, managing agents, facilities managers and property purchasers, it gives a clear, current picture of the building's fire safety status and any areas requiring attention.
Explore Property InspectionsFire compartmentation is the division of a building into separate zones using fire-resisting construction, including walls, floors and protected routes, to slow the spread of fire and smoke. Breaches in compartmentation are one of the most common and serious deficiencies we find in our assessments.
Explore Fire Compartmentation SurveysFire stopping is the passive fire protection installed around service penetrations, joints and gaps in fire-resisting construction to maintain compartmentation integrity. Inadequate fire stopping is a persistent finding in fire safety inspections, often the result of poor installation practice or subsequent building works that have breached existing measures. All fire stopping must be installed as part of a tested and assessed system supported by UKAS-accredited test evidence.
Explore Fire Stopping SurveysThe Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) require employers and self-employed persons to control the risks from fire, explosion and similar energy-releasing events arising from dangerous substances in the workplace. Where flammable liquids, gases, vapours, dusts or mists are present, a DSEAR assessment is a legal requirement.
Explore DSEAR AssessmentConstruction sites present significant and dynamic fire risks and the Building Safety Act 2022 has introduced additional duties for those working on higher-risk buildings. We support principal designers, principal contractors and other CDM duty holders with fire safety at every stage of the construction process, from design review through to pre-occupation assessment.
