How we collect, use and protect your personal data, and your rights under UK data protection law. Last updated 12 July 2026.
This policy explains how AL23 Safety handles the personal data of visitors to this website and people who enquire about our fire safety services. Please read it alongside any information we provide when we collect data from you.
This website (https://southport-fireriskassessment.co.uk) is operated by AL23 Safety, a trading name of AL23 Group Ltd (Company No. 15834366), registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is First Floor, Swan Buildings, 20 Swan Street, Manchester, M4 5JW.
AL23 Group Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at info@al23safety.com.
When you submit an enquiry through our contact or quote forms, we collect the personal data you provide: your name, email address, phone number, the property address, the premises type and any details you include in your message.
We also collect limited technical and usage data automatically when you browse the site, including pages visited and general analytics data (see "Cookies and analytics" below). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, prepare and send you a quotation, arrange and carry out fire safety services, and keep records of the work we undertake. We may also use it to contact you about your enquiry or an ongoing project.
Our lawful bases for processing are: your consent (when you submit an enquiry), the performance of a contract (to deliver services you request), and our legitimate interests (to run and improve our business and respond to enquiries). We do not use your data for automated decision-making.
We do not sell your personal data. Enquiry form submissions are processed on our behalf by Formspree, a form-handling provider, and delivered to us by email. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site.
We may share data with professional advisers, or where required to do so by law or a regulatory authority. Any third parties who process data on our behalf are required to keep it secure and use it only for the purposes we specify.
This site uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how visitors use the site (such as pages viewed and time on page). This helps us improve the website. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to use this website.
We keep enquiry data for only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and, where we are engaged, for the duration of our work and a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete it.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to our processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@al23safety.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
This website is served over HTTPS and we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure, but we work to protect your information at all times.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
